    Smart material is a new type of designed functional material having one or more properties that can be significantly changed in a controlled fashion by external stimuli, such as electric/magnetic field, temperature, pressure, humidity, and pH. Successful commercialization of smart materials from discovery takes tremendous manpower and resources. Therefore, high throughput computational and experimental technology is a promising way. Based on MGI strategy, the smart materials research model can be shifted to synergetic and seamless integration of high throughput experiment tools, high throughput calculation and big data.
