MGI currently has 47 in-service faculty members, including 38 teachers (25 professors, 8 associate professors, 5 lecturers), 7 experimental technicians, and 2 administrative and student staff.
Among them, there are 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 4 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (including 4 part-time employees), 1 chief scientist of 973, and 4 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. One winner of the Shanghai Thousand Talents Program, one winner of the Outstanding Youth Science Fund, seven winners of the Shanghai Oriental Scholar Program, and two winners of the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program.
