    Academician Zhang Tongyi Won the Science and Technology Progress Award of the He Liang Heli Fund

    On November 6, 2018, a grand event in China's science and technology industry, education industry and all walks of life-the 2018 Heliang Heli Fund Awards Conference was grandly held in the celebration hall of Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing. "Fund Science and Technology Progress Award" to recognize Academician Zhang for his outstanding contributions to China's scientific and technological progress and innovation.


    Party and state leaders and leaders of relevant departments attended the awards conference and took photos with the winning scientists. On the land of China, the lofty vision of establishing China's reward fund and rewarding China's outstanding scientific and technological workers ", with a passion for advocating science and rejuvenating China, each contributed 100 million Hong Kong dollars, a society jointly created on March 30, 1994 The non-profit fund is also the largest non-governmental science and technology award fund in China. Its purpose is to promote China's scientific and technological development and reward scientific and technological workers who have achieved outstanding achievements and major innovations. Former Minister of Science and Technology Zhu Lilan is the current Chairman of the Fund Committee.


    Academician Zhang Tongyi is a well-known expert in materials science and solid mechanics in China. He has been the vice chairman of the International Fracture Association and the vice chairman of the Far East and Oceania Fracture Society. He is a Fellow of the International Fracture Association, and has won the Hong Kong Qiu Ju Senior Research Scholar Award, the American ASM International Fellow Award, two National Natural Science Second Prizes, and the China Science and Technology Association Youth Science and Technology Award. He was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011 and a member of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering in 2012. From 1993 to 2015, he was a lecturer, associate professor, professor, lecturer, and Fang's engineering professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is currently a professor at Shanghai University, dean of the Shanghai Institute of Materials Genomic Engineering, and dean of the Shanghai Institute of Materials Genomic Engineering.
    Academician Zhang Tongyi will donate the entire bonus to the SHU's material genomic engineering education at Shanghai University. It plans to set up a scholarship to fund the training of outstanding talents in material genomics.
