    Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, China.

    Research Interests

    Dr. Cao worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of West Florida. Prior to that, Dr. Cao did her further research in the Department of Material Science and Engineering at MIT and University of California, Berkeley on nature-inspired materials. As a faculty member in Shanghai by courtesy, her research focuses on:

    1)Nature-inspired Hierarchical Materials Design and manufacturing; 

    2)3D-printed materials and its performance; 

    3)Big Data in High-Entropy Alloys; 

    4)Materials Informatics and Sustainability
